about

This is what we sounded like before corruption.

Trinket landed a record deal off the strength of our previous demo (included as bonus tracks on our self-titled debut, also on Bandcamp). Prior to creating our first record, we headed into Full Moon Studio with local producer and friend Tom Lewis, and banged out a slew of our better songs, all live to tape, no fixing.

A handful – Pure, Burgundy Shine, Deceiver, To Be A Star, Draw The Line – were picked by RCA to be re-recorded in Memphis for the album. The rest were largely forgotten and never played again, a shame because we loved many of these songs.

From a distance, this is as good as we ever sounded – a driven set of individuals and tunes. Trinket's amalgamation of alternative rock, Brit-pop, punk, and meedley-meeeee solos would never sound this potent again. Not saying it's perfect. But it's perfectly Trinket.
