about

Trinket were a rock band from Athens, Georgia, that possessed dreams of stardom and came within a whisper of it. This self-titled album was recorded during the winter of 1998 in Memphis (where each of us gained several pounds in barbecue) and later released by RCA in early 1999.

Needless to say, we did not become famous. Quite the opposite. But this album remains a snapshot – flawed, to be sure – of what the five of us once sounded like. Kinda.

For a more accurate picture, we've added several demos, recorded early in 1998, that better relay the band's hunger and raw energy – so much so, it's what snagged us our record deal.

Lovers of '90s alternative rock might find some worthwhile jams. We certainly have worthwhile memories.

P.S. There's a sort of "second" version of our debut album with a few different songs and an alternate title. We prefer this one.
